Hotel L’Aigle

Another great holiday. Just returned after last week of season. Plenty of snow and most runs still open.

This was our 19th season with Snowcoach so that speaks volumes. L'Aigle is situated in fantastic location, 100metres or less. The hotel has its own boots/skis for hire, and you can pre book lift passes with them, so all you need to do is turn up and you can head off out skiing.
From Valmeinier you can ski across to Valloire, fantastic skiing area.
Skiing with Snowcoach is a social experience and a great way to meet other skiers. Meals are taken on tables of about ten so always chatting to different people if you wish. The staff were brilliant. It is not an expensive luxury holiday but fantastic value for money. Rooms are basic but clean and tidy, ours was lovely with great views of the mountains.
Plenty to eat at breakfast, and really nice 4 course meals during our stay. Main course one night was best duck I've eaten. (Well done, Drew). Complimentary wine is provided during the first three courses. Outdoor hot tub overlooking mountain, lovely.
We travelled on their coach, long journey but coaches and drivers are good so worth the time. We travelled at the height of the P&O problems so feared delays at the ports. Snowcoach had swapped bookings to Irish Ferries and thankfully there were no delays on either journey. Can't wait till next year.

Great holiday format and superb staff. Just returned from a fabulous week’s skiing with Snowcoach in Valmeinier. We had a glorious run of eight full day’s blue sky skiing with a mixed ability group. The accommodation is quite basic but warm and clean, the meals were decent and plentiful. The club hotel promotes integration amongst guests and staff, which was brilliant.
The staff were consistently great but a special shout out to Neil, along with Jack and Drew for their great humour and excellent ski guide touring, expertly picking the best slopes which helped make a fantastic week.
Snowcoach were exceptionally easy to deal with and dealt brilliantly with the unexpected P&O situation, they provide a great value for money service and experience.
Well done guys, we will be back!

It is the Snowcoach family (team) that from start to finish make it such a magical experience.

Another great week. Just back from our fourth visit. A great budget hotel. Rooms are clean and warm. Breakfast is serve yourself (as much as you want). 4pm tea/coffee and freshly made cakes and then a 4-course evening meal with free wine which will fill you up.
The staff are mainly students and this year’s team were definitely the best we have had although we have not had a bad group.
Hotel is 50 yards from the lifts which is another great plus. Will be back for our 5th time I'm sure.

Becca and I set off from Watford on March 6 and we had a very quick and comfortable journey out to Valmeinier, thanks to Mark and Titus for a great job.
Our week at the l’Aigle was very enjoyable, with good food, great company, and fantastic skiing due to the amount of snow and some lovely sunny days. Of course we were keeping up with the news headlines from home but we all felt as if we were in a bubble, somehow protected from it all. When David arrived mid-week and explained what Snowcoach were doing to improve our protection from the Coronavirus it made us all more aware, and we were all grateful that you were taking things seriously and doing your best to take care of us all. At the end of our week, we were all looking forward to getting home safely and thanks to Mark and Sarah we had another very smooth and uneventful trip
We had a great holiday, and we’d like to thank everyone at Snowcoach for making that possible, but we’d also like to thank your whole team for their dedication and professionalism in handling an incredibly difficult situation. We look forward to more ski trips with you in the future, but for now good luck and stay safe.

This is our third visit to Hotel l’Aigle and our fifth time with Snowcoach (last year we went to their sister hotel in St. Gervais which in itself speaks volumes). As usual the staff are incredibly enthusiastic and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble.
We visited in half term as necessity and the hotel was full. However, everything went smoothly. The meals were wholesome and filling. Ski rental is dealt with very professionally and you exit the boot room via the back door and two sets of stairs and you are at the first chairlift – brilliant!

This is the third year running we’ve been to the hotel and will be definitely be going back. Do not expect 5* luxury, it’s just not that sort of hotel …. However, it’s very friendly, comfortable and best of all VERY convenient for the slopes. Ski and boot hire are on site in the hotel too. The food is not haute cuisine BUT is well made, tasty and filling – just what you need on a skiing holiday! It has an outdoor hot tub and sauna too. Best of all the resort is very quiet, hardly any queues and the skiing excellent for all abilities.

This was our first time with Snowcoach holidays to the Hotel l’Aigle and it won’t be our last. The organisation was excellent and our journey was comfortable. We were greeted on arrival by the hotel manager and then we had coffee and breakfast – just what we needed! It was comfortable and warm in the hotel and afternoon tea and cakes most welcome.
The rooms have comfortable beds, plenty of storage space and choice of bath/shower with plenty of hot water. The piste was a couple of minutes’ walk from the hotel up some steps to the chair lifts – easy. We would recommend the social skiing – it’s a fantastic way of getting to know the area and skiing in Valloire. It was sad to leave – we had a fantastic holiday, met some amazing people and did plenty of skiing in lovely conditions. We would highly recommend Snowcoach and l’Aigle.

We have just returned from our ski trip to the Hotel Terminus, St. Gervais and we are writing to express our thanks to all your staff involved.
On the morning of Thursday 13th January, we were on the point of cancelling our trip because of the restrictions surrounding entry to France. Then Mr. Macron changed everything and suddenly we could go. When we contacted the office, your staff were brilliant in making all last-minute arrangements in such a professional and friendly manner so we must say a very big "thank you" to all involved.
On arriving at the hotel, we found that we were the only two guests but the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at ease and this was just the start. The ski fitting was meticulous and the ski equipment was excellent. When we enquired about the social skiing we were looked after all week which really enhanced our holiday. The food was excellent in both presentation, variety and quality.
This was a holiday that we will never forget and it is all down to the individuals who went that one step further to do a great job. They have all made it impossible for us ever to ski again unless it is with Snowcoach. When we left for home, it was like saying goodbye to friends and not staff.
We sincerely hope that all the problems we are currently experiencing resolve themselves and you are able to have a good remainder of the season. Our sincere thanks once again and we look forward to skiing with you again next year.

As usual, everything went to perfection – breakfast Saturday morning, had skis by 8.30am and on the slopes by 9.15! Food was very good – not gourmet by any means but a great variety and tasty and the red wine was extremely drinkable too! Went social skiing most days – there is no problem travelling alone. Coach left resort at 7.45pm so skied all day on the last day. I fully recommend Snowcoach and this hotel. Thanks to everyone – I hope to be out again soon!

My husband, our son and I stayed at The Terminus in Le Fayet over New Year and I wanted to write to tell you about how kind and understanding your staff were to us.
We have been on Snowcoach holidays since 1999 when we saw your advert on teletext when our son, Rob, was 5! We haven’t been with you for a few years but we thought it would be a good idea for another return visit as our son, who is now 26, has social difficulties. After a slightly bumpy start I spoke with Frankie and asked if she could help us and everyone was really kind and friendly and made our holiday a really happy time.
We have always really enjoyed the social skiing and meeting people (I have a good friend I met in Valmeinier with Snowcoach in 2004) but the positive experience we have had this season has made this the best holiday yet. I just wanted to thank you and express my thanks.
